Have you ever found yourself with 40 minutes to spare at Tokyo Station, with no idea where to go or sit?
As someone who lives in Tokyo and loves to explore, I’d like to share a hidden gem with you!
Morning Coffee for Just 100 Yen
My recommendation is TORIBA, located in Yaesu Underground Mall.
Here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee for just 100 yen in the morning. Despite being in a somewhat obscure spot (though I don’t think it’s that hard to find), it has very little foot traffic.
The single counter seats face the wall, making it a perfect spot for those who feel shy. Plus, there’s plenty of space between seats, so you can relax comfortably.
The reason the coffee is so affordable is that it’s served in a paper cup and is pre-dripped and stored in a pot.
But the coffee is really delicious.
And the staff are always smiling and incredibly hospitable! They hand you the coffee with a cheerful “Please enjoy your time here!”
Of course, they offer other beverages and light snacks as well.
So, next time you’re at Tokyo Station, even if you don’t need to kill time, take a short walk to Yaesu Underground Mall and check it out! Highly recommended
