Overview of the August 2025 Patch Tuesday
On August 13, 2025 (Japan time), Microsoft released its monthly security updates known as Patch Tuesday.
This month’s release addresses a total of 107 vulnerabilities, including one zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2025-53779, a Windows Kerberos privilege escalation flaw) that is already being exploited in the wild.

Systems That Might Benefit from Delaying the Update
Based on past Patch Tuesday trends, the following systems have seen higher rates of post-update issues. While not guaranteed, waiting a few days to a week may be safer for critical systems:
